The Global Poll is the brainchild of telecoms-industry expert Bruce Mott. He literally woke up one morning a couple of years ago with the idea for The Global Poll in his head. Mr Mott felt that it ticked all the boxes for a business idea – internet-based, potential to be financially viable and supported his own personal ethics.

Mr Mott brought a team together who all thought the idea had such merit that they put in their time in return for future equity.

After many hours of development, The Global Poll was officially launched in May 2009.

Onsite text polling service

The Global Poll also offers an onsite text polling service that allows event coordinators, marketers and venues to organise an instant opinion poll or competition by asking attendees to text their answer using their mobile phone.

The Global Poll will run various polls simultaneously for a period of 24 hours, 72 hours or a customised period before a new set of polls will be opened.

• Voter registration is mandatory and free
• Voters are restricted to one vote per poll

• Gender
• Geographic Region
• Religion
